SYLLABUS FOR ENTRANCE EXAM OF PROGRAMS : B.SC. APPLIED STATISTICS & ANALYTICS / B.SC. DATA SCIENCE /

• The entrance test will have 50 MCQ questions. 15 questions will be based on aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning and 35 questions will be based on the 11th and 12th Standard level Mathematics & Statistics syllabus. Following are the topics on which the questions are set.

• Aptitude: Number Series, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Average, Ratio and Proportion, Numbers, Problems on H.C.F, Odd Man Out and Series, Problems on Ages, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Problems on Trains, Decimal Fractions
• Logical Reasoning: Letter and Symbol Series, Logical Problems, Analogy
• Verbal Reasoning Questions: Blood Relation Test, Logical Sequence of Words, Seating Arrangement

• Mathematics & Statistics Questions (35 questions)

• Sets and Functions: Sets, Relations & Functions, Trigonometric Functions
• Algebra: Quadratic Equations, Linear Inequalities, Permutations and Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Sequence and Series (A.P., G.P., H.P.), Matrices, Determinants
• Calculus: Limits and Derivatives, Continuity and Differentiability, Applications of Derivatives, Integrals, Applications of the Integrals, Differential Equations
• Vectors and Coordinate geometry: Vectors, Straight lines, Conic sections
• Statistics & Probability: Measures of central tendency, Measures of dispersion, random variable, probability mass function, probability density function.
