FOR DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS
TCS conducted the Campus recruitment process on 8th October 2014 for Sr.Business analyst position for MSc. Statistics part 2, wherein, 1 student namely Palak Singh got selected.
Guest lecture was organized on 18th October 2014 with GSK (Glaxo Smithkline), a leading pharmaceutical company.
Topic: Facets of the Pharmaceutical Industry and how Lean Six Sigma, market research tools, and strategy formulation etc. are applied in the industry
Summer Internships for M.Sc. Statistics Part I has been started and L&T (Larsen & Toubro) has been contacted & official process has been done for the same.
FOR DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES AND CHEMICAL SCIENCES
The official process for Summer internships for MSc. Biological Sciences, Part 1 continues, wherein BARC has been contacted & 2 students have shown interest. Process initiated with BARC for the same.
Students have been encouraged to apply for INSA. The placement cell has been guiding the students about the detailed procedure for the same.
Few students having been interested to pursue their summer internships in Healthcare, the placement cell has contacted leading hospitals & official recommendation letters of the interested students sent out for the same.
Process ongoing for summer internships with various industries reacting to R&D, Diagnostics, Bio-analytical etc.
