PLACEMENT CELL ACTIVITIES : AUGUST 2015

One student, namely Sayalee More of M. Sc. Statistics 2015 batch who had earlier opted out of the placement process showed interest to be placed by the placement cell.
Sayalee was placed in Reliance General Insurance w.e.f 24th August 2015 in the position of Risk Analyst.
As part of the alumni association activities, the placement cell organised its first alumni interactive session with 2 of our alumnus, Aditya Iyer & Priyank Ipte on 8th August 2015.
This session was attended by all students of MSc. Statistics 1st & 2nd year.
The students were briefed by their seniors on all areas of preparatory for final placements, summer internships, projects etc.
It was a lively, informative interactive session well conducted by both the alumnus, as a result of which the existing students were more keen to prepare accordingly to crack the best of the job opportunities prevalent in the market.
The 1st alumni meet organized on 20th June has helped in initiating activities such as this alumni interactive session & subsequent activities which shall help in bringing a better focus to the placement work.
The feedback session for the 1st aptitude test was held on 24th August 2015 for the MSc. Statistics students, 2nd year by a certified trainer.
This session helped the students to prepare them for the aptitude test with the right formulae to be tried for cracking the aptitude tests for campus placements.
The second practice aptitude test, as part of the aptitude training series will be conducted in the 1st week of September 2015.
