D. student, Biological Sciences, attended the 1st Convention, SFE- India National Seminar on "Opportunities in Medicinal Plant research” organized by ‘School of Natural Product Studies’ at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, on 29th – 30th November 2014. She presented a poster entitled "Evaluation of the Proliferative Activity of alcoholic extract of Veteveria zizanioides Linn. in human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells” at the conference.
• Ms. Shreelekha Dutta, Ph. D. student, Biological Sciences, attended the "4th Biennial International Conference on New Developments in Drug Discovery from Natural Products and Traditional Medicines" organized by the 'Department of Natural Products, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Sector- 67, S.A.S. Nagar, Punjab, India' on 20th Nov – 22nd Nov 2014. She made an oral presentation entitled "Apoptotic effect of isoflavones and lignans in MCF7 breast cancer cells” at the conference.

She presented a poster entitled "Human Serum Albumin coated magnetic nanoparticles do not affect viability, proliferation and differentiation potential of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs)” and was awarded the "Best Poster” prize for the same.

She presented a poster entitled "Non-ionic surfactant micelles as drug delivery vehicles for poorly water soluble anti-malarial drugs” and was awarded the "Best Poster” prize for the same.
