School of Science organised its first Alumni Meet- Homecoming 2015! on 20th June 2015. School of Science has successfully completed 7 years & thus a need was felt to host the event, dedicated to all our pass-out students.
The event was organised, keeping in mind the experience & expertise gathered by the alumnus in the industry in varied domains.
It was a successful event. Students from all the departments of School of Science, namely Biological & Chemical Sciences, Statistics & Physiotherapy participated in good numbers. The Dean, Dr. Aparna Khanna gave an inaugural speech, highlighting about the recent developments on a School level.
This was further followed by Prof. Sunil Shirvaiker, Associate Professor, Statistics & Area Chairperson, Placements, School of Science, addressing the alumni on all aspects & developments in the area of Placements, Summer internships, Industry projects, etc. Shailee Ray, Placement Co-ordinator, School of Science co-ordinated the event with fun-filled activities.
They also expressed their keen interest to form an Alumni association & actively contribute to the same, as suggested by Prof. Sunil Shirvaiker.
The focus of the event was interaction, bonding with peer groups, networking & suggestions from alumni in terms of possible changes, which can enable well-being of the School.
