Research Interest

Our lab is currently working in the area of cancer biology. Our research lies at the intersection of cancer biology, cellular senescence, and molecular therapeutics. The work extensively investigates therapy-induced senescence (TIS) in cancer that leads to cancer relapse and metastasis in breast cancer with a focus on identifying biomarkers of TIS, understanding the epigenetic mechanisms involved, and screening compounds with senotherapeutic potential.  We are using a multi-omics approach in an in vitro cell culture model to identify the biomarkers of senescence that will help us address the fundamental questions in cancer biology, relapse, and metastasis.
